What is MEGA?

The committee of the PWA runs a MEGA event as a 'thank you' to Helsby Golf Club for granting the charity courtesy of the course and the use of the club's amenities to run the Wheelchair Classic and other fundraising functions.

All money raised from these days so far has been given to the club to go towards the provision of a lift for members who are unable to climb the stairs to access the clubhouse lounge, bar and restaurant and for visitors and friends who are in a similar situation.

The appeal is supported by MEGA - the Merseyside Entertainers Golfing Association - who not only take part in the golf but also provide brilliant entertainment in the evening for the benefit of all those who have supported the event.
