HELSBY GOLF CLUB WELCOMES NEW MEMBERS

Since the beginning of the year we have had more new members join the club than ever before and, to extend a warm welcome to them, there was a New Members Evening held recently at the clubhouse.

Captain Martin Mann and Lady Captain Sheila Fenwick welcomed the new members, their guests and their sponsors, and during the evening members of the committees gave various presentations to provide golf and social information about the club and refreshments followed.

The opportunity to meet existing members and fellow new members was much appreciated and diaries were in evidence as games were fixed up!  Several new members commented that the friendly reputation of the club and the great course attracted them to Helsby and they are enjoying the golf and social aspects of their new membership.

It was a great evening for member David Faulkner as his name was drawn as the lucky recipient of a year’s free membership for having introduced several new members during the year – well done David!
